Photoshop Borders 1: Torn Window

Here I present, without doubt, a simple but different to present your photos.

Add an inch of the canvas holding the Anchor in the center. If the layer of the photo is marked as background, double click on the layers palette and without making changes, click OK.

Select the content layer, or photo. For this click on the thumbnail in the layers palette while holding down the Ctrl key. Then reduce the selected area more or less as shown in Fig. The number of pixels on the size of the photo.
Then invert the selection (Ctrl + Shift + I or Select> Inverse) to maintain selected only the edge of the picture.

Access to the filter Distort Ripple sub menu in Filter and enter the following settings: Amount - 400%, Size - Medium.

Return to sub menu and select Distort Twirl and type -60 ° in the Angle.

To conclude, apply Inner Shadow to your liking. Inner Shadow effect is achieved by clicking on the fx symbol that appears at the bottom left of the Layers palette.

Those who are not professional graphic design or photographers can also do this effect using Adobe Photoshop Elements, a more simple and inexpensive ($ 80 - $ 90) version of Photoshop. Very simple, right? Try and tell me.
